Carbon Foam Characterization

Carbon Foam is supported at Touchstone by a complete R&D facility which houses equipment to test virtually every property of the foam.

Among the hundreds of test instruments are:

Mechanical Testing: tensile, fatigue, compression, impact, hardness, climbing drum peel, microhardness testing, etc.

Environmental Testing: salt fog, QUV, SWAAT, CASS, electrical corrosion testing, etc.

Physical Testing: SEM, TEM, XRD, DSC, CTE, mercury porosimetry, etc.

This in-house heritage of core capability in materials testing has enabled a very rapid development and thorough characterization of Touchstone's Carbon Foam.
